1972 Chevrolet C10 – Randy J.

My good friend whom we traveled many miles together in our Newmar Motor homes. He passed away several months ago and I had told him if he ever wanted to sell his truck, I wanted first option to buy it. His widow can’t drive and needed to sell both vehicles they owned. She called me and asked if I still was interest in purchasing Dallas’s truck. I told her, I certainly wanted it. I knew he had taken good care of the truck that he had purchased brand new. They used it to camp in until they purchased a tag along travel trailer. He had added 2 more fuel tanks one on each side ahead of the rear wheels. When I bought the truck it had 483,719 miles on the odometer on the 3rd GM 350 engine. My intensions are to modernize the truck by replacing the steering with a tilt wheel, change the suspension by adding torsion bars, change the ignition system to a HEI electronic, new wires and install a new Holley carburetor new intake manifold and torsion bars and disk brakes all around. I only paid her asking price of $10,000. I offered more but she said Dallas wanted me to have it for that price. I know it is definitely worth more but I plan to keep it as my farm truck.
