1979 Chevy C10 – Brian B

I had seen the truck when I was a kid and instantly fell in love with it. I knew the previous owner because he was my father’s best friend. when I turned 16 he joked about selling his 79 c10 that he had since he was 16 and I said I would buy it knowing I didn’t have the money. So, I started working and saving every penny I earned and once I turned 18 I had a decent amount saved up so I called him and asked if he still was thinking of selling it he said he completely forgot about saying that. He said he needed some time to think so I saved more money and called him again after a few months. So, for the next few years I’d call and see if he wanted to sell it yet. well in 2021 for my 21st birthday I called him and he finally said yes so after work I went to the barn he had it buried in and helped clean it to get the truck out. Then, we went to the local notary did a title transfer and I paid for antique tags for the truck and to this day I enjoy driving it. so the past 5 years I’ve enjoyed the truck so much I am glad I kept in touch with him about selling it because I am 26 years old and own my dream vehicle.
