1987 Chevy C10 – Joshua H.

Got this truck in 2000, it was left to me by my grandfather. He bought it and had it 26 years. Now having it, I refer to this truck as my “1st baby”.

My grandfather used to repair NASCAR Winston Cup wheels in the late 70s/80s and I think toward the ’90s even before so much money got involved. Teams and drivers had to worry bout money so they paid to fix rims, not one rim one time one race as it is now. So this truck has for a fact delivered racing wheels to circuits up and down the eastern seaboard in its life. It spent its early life in Long Island, then south to Georgia. Today, after rebuilding the front end and adding in some goodies with a friend I used to professionally race with, it resides in central PA at the moment with me and I’ve got a ton of stuff planned to do before C10s in the City 2027.

Its raced Corvettes on 85(and lost), its hauled wheels, drifted in the snow, was home for 2 months in 2013 and so much more. But just in a nutshell, this is my ’87. Social media below with a few videoss detailing the history.

I plan to work on this to leave to my oldest boy who I haven’t seen in almost 7 years due to parental alienation.
