1974 Ford F150 – Randy M.

I had just graduated high school and had been driving my dad’s 1965 Ford pickup through high school. My dad also had a 1955 Ford pickup at one time that I had learned to drive stick shift on. So I decided I would get myself a new Ford pickup. I don’t think I even thought about a car, I wanted a pickup. So I mentioned this to my dad, not expecting this to happen as quickly as it did. Not long after mentioning this to my dad. He came home from work and told me that I owed him $100.00. I asked for what and he tells me that that he put 100 dollars down as a deposit on a pickup. Now I haven’t seen this truck yet. I end up agreeing to purchase the truck, but my dad handles the purchase. My mom and my aunt go pick up the truck and bring it to me where I was working at the time. This would be my first time at seeing the truck that I had purchased. I ended up loving the color and everything about the truck. On my first date with my future wife, I ask her if she would go out with me in a pickup. I still have the same truck today with 50,000 miles on it.
