1978 Chevrolet Blazer -Kyle R.
Dear LMC Truck Team,
My name is Kyle, and I am writing to you today to share our family’s submission for your “Share Your Truck Story” segment. This is the story of how my two sons, Clark (10) and Lincoln (9) that started their own custom truck builds—and how the LMC Truck catalog sparked a dream that is changing their lives.
For as long as they can remember, my boys have spent hours flipping through your catalogs, circling parts, dog-earing pages and mapping out their dream rides. That exact inspiration is what drove us to step out of the house, head into the garage and find two projects of our own: a 1978 K5 Cheyenne for Clark and a 1980 K5 Silverado for Lincoln.
Why We Started This Journey
I work a blue-collar job, and my wife is currently navigating some heavy medical hurdles as she undergoes testing for MS. With everything going on, I wanted to give my boys a positive and powerful focus. I wanted a project that would teach them real-world skills, keep them off video games and show them what it takes to build a dream from the ground up.
Because of our situation, these trucks aren’t a free ride. To fund their builds, Clark and Lincoln actually started their own local landscaping business. They are out there cutting grass, earning every single dollar for parts and doing the heavy lifting themselves.
They are documenting their hustle, their mistakes and their victories across their channels to prove to other kids that with enough grit, the younger generation belongs in the classic car community:

Bringing the Story to Life
Right now, Clark’s ’78 needs heavy sheet metal work and Lincoln’s ’80 is an empty shell completely missing its interior and drivetrain. They are working hard every weekend, saving up their lawn care money to order their next round of replacement panels and parts straight from your pages.
We wanted to share this story with you because LMC Truck isn’t just a parts company to us—your catalog was the tool that inspired two young brothers to pick up wrenches, learn the value of hard work and start preserving classic truck history.
Thank you for providing the inspiration that gets kids out of the house and into the garage. We would be incredibly proud to have our journey featured in your “Share Your Truck Story” segment!
Warm regards,
Kyle
