1985 Chevrolet K10 – Megan R.

Hello my name is Megan Renninger and I own a 1985 Chevy K10. I wanna tell you about my truck. My fiancé and I were talking about building a squarebody. We wanted to build one for me. He has a 1984 Chevy k20 and a 1984 Chevy K5 blazer and he said well you need one too. So we went to buy the frame and after that we went to buy the cab then we left it sit for 4 to 5 years because we just didn’t have the money at that time then we call the guy that had the cab and asked if he had a bed and just out luck he had the original bed to it so we grabbed that and we started to build me a truck. My fiancé had parts laying around the house and we just started to put them on and it slowly was looking like a truck. At first I wasn’t really excited about it but after we started to put everything together it was so exciting to see it! I couldn’t wait to get the rest of it done and start to drive it! I love that truck so much, I wouldnt trade it for anything. That’s something my fiancé and I build together. He wanted to build a truck with his dad but sadly he passed away in 2007 and he never got that chance so when we meet we talked about it but never did it till now and it was the best thing ever. My truck has a 307 small block with 3.85 pistons. I lost my mom in 2024 and she loved lime green so we painted my engine lime green for her! This truck means so much!
