1968 Ford F100 – Victor T.
I looked for this certain color coordination on Facebook for about six months.(Wimbledon, White and Harbor blue) I’d almost given up when all of a sudden I was sitting there one Saturday morning, cruising Facebook in the truck popped up 30 minutes away. I arrived there shortly after and was able to seal the deal. I went back to pick her up the following day. I knew my life had just went into high speed. I was starting a work week of what ended up to be 87 hours. Before shut down was over, I had the LS engine, transmission and computer in my truck ready to go to my shop on the last day of shut down. I started with removing the front cap and the bed. Removed the motor, transmission, removed the I beam front suspension and installed crown vic. Notched the rear frame, flipped the 9 inch rear axle, installed NSR cam and high performance springs. Installed drive train, modified crossmember, coated the frame and installed Dakota digitalis. Wired her up and started this thing in 62 day ready for its first shake down run. I worked my regular 45 hour weeks while I was building it. I didn’t order my first part until I got home after my shut down was over. It was a long hard haul, but worth every minute. I learned so much with the gift of this build. I had friends that helped me remove the bed and the motor and front cap other than that I completed my project in 62 days. What a blessing ….
