2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 – Ash H.

In October 2025, after many failed attempts on looking for my first truck, while at work my mom was scrolling on a local dealerships website and came across a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 work truck. It wasn’t rough shape but for the price it wasn’t bad. The next day after work we went to go look at it and I remember telling myself I was not going to buy the truck and I was just looking. After looking at the truck and driving it, I made the dealership an offer of 1K under what they wanted and they accepted. As we drove home from the dealership, I remember still being in shock that my name was on the title to my first truck. Every time I clean the truck, I will always find pennies so the truck was nicknamed “Copperhead”. I’ve had it for a year already and I’ve learned so much about this truck. I have all the records from 38,000 mi to its current mileage 220,000, it’s still in rough shape needing frame repairs but I couldn’t be happier ending up with it. The truck now serves as a memorial for Doug S, a family member who has since passed away but always had a love for farming.
