Every old truck starts from humble beginnings. This truck looks older than it is. Most people ask if it is an early 70’s Ford. I suppose it has seen many adventures and the previous patina showed wear beyond its years. This truck was found by my father in a field with flat tires and weeds growing out of it. It was purchased with the sole purpose as the pay it forward truck. Allowing those less fortunate than us to borrow it when they needed it and to help people move. It’s old soul grew on everyone and soon became part of the family. Dispite it’s flaws and wear it developed the reputation of the unconsciously cool truck in town. My father had the strait 6 pulled and swapped with a manual 351 EFI out of a totaled 1991 F250. I since have had every rusted bolt removed and replaced in a full frame off restoration so it can continue its life as the pay it forward truck for generations to come. It took 2 years to complete the project, mostly in the off hours after work. Many nights this labor of love would last until midnight. Every panel is coated on the inside with a polyurea bed coating. The old wood bed that rotted through was replaced with trex decking and every part has been painstaking refurbished and replaced with better than new. The goal was to bring the quality similar to what you would find out of icon 4×4 but still keep it a clean and simple utilitarian truck. Most everything was completed in a small garage including the paint, true to it humble beginnings.
