1986 Chevy C10 Silverado – Steve H.
VOCATIONAL SCHOOL PROJECT: Hello my name is Steve. I am an Auto Body Instructor at Four County Career Center in Archbold, Ohio. I sold my Harley a year ago last spring, and then I decided to look for a Chevy short bed to restore. I found my truck on Craigslist in Indiana. It’s a 1986 C10 short bed 305 4-barrel automatic, with air that works, now. When the truck was new it went to a conversion factory and had the interior done, very few trucks had this done to them. Last fall I took my truck to school and started the restoration project. Both my Juniors and Seniors dismantled the truck, I bought a rust free bed from Texas and new sheet metal. The Senior Auto Tech students rebuilt the suspension and all the mechanical components. The truck was a copper color and we changed the color to black. We also redid all the wood interior parts. The truck was at school for the whole year. Many thanks to LMC and the students at Four County for a job well done. It sure gets a lot of attention when we drive it and Otis our Pug loves to go for rides in it too!
