1986 Ford F150-Kenneth J.

Back in 2000, I was working for a local auto parts store when one evening a young man came in looking for some parts for his 1986 Ford F-150.
We chatted for a few minutes when he made the statement that he really didn’t like his truck. So I asked him if I could see it, to which he replied “sure.” As soon as I saw the truck, I was in love with it. Yeah, it needed some TLC, but I saw a lot of potential in this old gal. It just so happened that I had just finished restoring an old ’76 Chevy Camaro that I had driven to work that day. I asked the customer if he would be interested in trading me his truck for my car, even swap. He agreed, and I knew then we would be together for a long time. The truck had rust on all the hood and roof, so I got it repainted. Afterwards, I got an LMC book and started to dress it up. It’s taken me 16 years doing a little at a time, but everything on my truck has come from LMC. I’m so glad LMC had everything I needed to make my truck look so good. It has a 302 fuel injected motor with a C-6 transmission. With 226,000 miles on it, this truck still runs great! It’s been quite a head turner and has been photographed by a lot of locals who just wanted to get a picture of it, making me more proud to drive her around. One day it will belong to my Grandson, who can’t wait to take over the wheel. Thanks LMC!
