1970 Chevy C10 – Dennis & Rhonda W.

This is my mine and my husbands 1970 Chevrolet C10 1/2 ton stepside shortbed. We have had this truck since we were teenagers, 1994?.so 22 yrs. We bought it for $750. My daddy and husband restored it a year or so after we got it but you know how teenagers are. My husband drove it for a little while and in 1999 it was parked and we stored it in our shop building for 16+ yrs. My dad got laid off from the oilfield Feb 2015 and by summer we decided to totally restore it from frame up. We did the total restore in about 6 months. My dad and I worked on it during the day, every day, and since my husband was working a lot in the Oilfield, he would work on it at night and of course, on the days he was off. We ordered most of our parts from LMC, so it is kinda an LMC truck. We restored this truck with no help. We even painted it. My husband and daddy, actually did the painting. I helped prep(sanded, primed,puttied etc.). 3 people and 6 months of a lot of hard work, time, money. We are very proud of this truck and we will always have the memories that go along with restoring this truck and that is priceles!!! This truck was restored in a shop building that was built in the 80s, so it was not an easy environment/setting. We had to constantly check temp. of the shop while painting etc but we did 1 heck of a job, especially for amateurs!!! Here is a picture before we started the restore last summer and pictures of it after we were finished! I have hundreds of pictures I took during the restore process!
