1997 Chevy K1500 – Austin H.
| Devastated from the loss of my first truck… I had to replace the hole in my heart. So I started my search for a single cab long bed Chevy. I searched for 3 months trying to find the perfect truck. One morning before I go to leave for work I get a phone call. A dealership had just taken in a bone stock blue single cab long bed 4×4. I went online and saw the ad for it and fell in love. I went immediately after work and test drove it. It was everything I wanted. So I bought it for cash. I fixed a few mechanical things in it and it drove like a charm. I then decided it was not big enough so I put a 6″ Rough Country suspension lift on it. I found some really nice Moto Metal rims to go with brand new 35/12.5/R20 Federa Couragia M/Ts. They stick outside the wheel wells of the truck and look aggressive. I then added a 2″ cowl hood on and gave my stock hood to my dads friend who was in desperate need of one. My dad refers to my truck as the Kentucky low rider. My friends and I call him big blue. I have future plans to put a better motor in big blue and make him sit a little higher! |
