1989 Chevy S10 – Josh R.
I had this truck in 2002. I traded a Chevy Beretta for the truck. It was originally a 4cyl/5 speed that I lowered. Later on after the 4cyl died, I swapped to a 2.8 where it would undergo several engine swaps before ultimately swapping to a 350SBC. This is where my friend and I tore the truck down to the cab & frame to repaint it to the blue it is today. I corrected the way the truck was lowered. Later on, I rebuilt the sbc to a more radical version with a t56. found a 8.5 from a junk yard. converted front suspension to coil overs and added caltracs since the sbc was a bit much for the lowered suspension. converted front brakes to C5 brakes, rear is S10 Blazer 2wd disc. I eventually purchased new 18in Budnik billet wheels, had the truck tinted and added Sparco bucket seats on custom made brackets. The interior is stock looking with leather wrapped dash. I installed led under glows because I’m a 90’s minitrucker at my core who also loves hot-rodding. There is a lot of small parts used in the process only made possible by companies like LMC. I take the truck to car/truck shows, auto cross events & a few road course events. I built this truck for no one else but me to enjoy and the truck is described as violently fun.
