1986 GMC Sierra – Keith H.

My Dad’s 82′ Sierra Classic was the first truck I ever “legally” drove and I loved it!! Unfortunately by the time I was in a position to finance a restoration, my Dad’s truck was just too far gone! In 2005 I found an 86′ that was purchased from the same lot as Dad’s 82′ (Keith GM in Okotoks Ab) parked in the lot at my golf course and I left a note for the owner. To my surprise I heard from him that evening and he was interested in selling her. Thanks to the good folks at LMC Truck, there isn’t many original visible parts on her now but she sure gets a lot of attention! I have to make sure I have extra time to chat if I take my truck to the gas station because there is always someone who falls in love at first sight. Every 40 or 50 something male in this part of the world has a story about owning a truck like mine and it seems to always spark fond memories! It’s funny, I own new vehicles worth 8 or 9 times what I have into my 86″ and then never get a second look but that old girl has caused more whiplash than the trans Canada Highway!! Thanks Dad for bringing home that truck when I was 10, definitely my first love!!
