1955 Ford F100 – Curtis Macdonald
Building a 55 F100 on an 87 Crown Vic police car chassis. The chassis is the actual Crown Vic that I have modified and mocked up the truck on, before disassembly. The 5.0 is the police HO, roller lifter HEI that I converted to a summit intake and 600cfm Holley. In front of an AOD with 3.08 limited slip rear gears. Front and rear sway bars with power disc front brakes. I used a mustang fuel tank with a Mr Gasket low pressure pump.
The chassis and drivetrain are complete and runs like a champ. I have the cab prepped for paint and interior, which will be a custom bucket seat w/console set up. The cab corners were furnished by LMC to address a slight rust concern and to eliminate the fuel port.
Beginning reassembly this week. Plans include a lower and upper console, leather buckets, bamboo dash insert, nav system, power windows and console shifter.
Color will be a PPG blue/green lower with a white upper divided by a black and red pin stripe.
