1973 Chevy Blazer – John C.

My name is Jon Class1c Corral, my dad Jim & I found this old rusty gem in a field on an old farm in Washington State, as cliche as it sounds, really an old barn find. Except she wasn’t in a barn, and she wasn’t really a gem… Yet! This 1973 Chevy K5 Blazer started out as a project my old man & I were going to build and then share. We took on this two year build with the help of my childhood buddies Nick & Richard Lynch and even roped their dad Matt into coming and turning a wrench. I would say the person who sacrificed the most was my amazing wife Alyssa. She really supported us in this build all the way, even though we took her parking spot in the garage and pushed her poor car to the cold Pacific NW rain! It was a long journey from the rusty Flintstone rig we started with to where she is today.

We wanted to bring her back to her original factory triple black options & not wheel her out, or even add non original aftermarket pieces for convenience. LMC really helped us bring this K5 back to life with original components and hard to find parts that we just couldn’t get anywhere else. Attention to detail is what LMC really helped us achieve with this factory correct Blazer aside from a mild tweak of the Chevy Red block instead of OEM Chevy Orange, and a slightly bigger set of 33/12.50 BFG K02’s on Factory 15″ Truck Rallys sitting’ on her stock height suspension, with no lift or leveling kit! She looks like she just rolled off the assembly line, with all of her trim, interior components, emblems, even down to the factory correct rubber door bumps and washer fluid container. We couldn’t be more proud of how our Blazer turned out and LMC really was the extra hand in our build, helping us bring one of the most factory correct Squarebody K5’s in the country back to life and more importantly back on the road! Can’t wait to build our next square Thank You LMC from Washougal WA!
