1964 Chevy – Albert H.

My First Truck
My dad purchased this truck February 5, 1964. It was his first new vehicle. As a sixteen year old I was excited to get to drive it off the dealer ship lot in Baxley, GA. The odometer read only 2 miles. My dad hauled livestock, cotton, tobacco and all types of produce to market during the week. It was the sole transportation for church, dating and visiting relatives on the weekends. I bought the truck from him in 1974. My wife, son or myself used it as a family vehicle until I retired 4 years ago. Through out the years I have kept updating the inline six cylinder with a Crate 350, disc brakes, power steering and had it painted. My son still enjoys driving it and the grandchildren love for Papa to “sling a curve” on our rural dirt roads. Needless to say I have many fond memories and hopefully my family will continue to enjoy this truck for a long time. Personalized tag reads “SEATTEN “. That was my father’s name and not an attempt to spell out C-10.
