1984 GMC K1500 – Luke C.

I bought it on a whim. My car had been broken down on me for some time and I needed a replacement.

It was the end of July 2017 and a friend of my dad had this truck. At first I was excited and then his words “it’s a 1984 pickup” were said. I was very skeptical but I took a look at it. Can’t lie to you, it was in rough shape but for some reason I bought it.

It started with a few upgrades, a rebuilt engine, new carb, you know things that would keep me moving and out of the shop. It quickly turned into re-wiring large portions of the truck, paint and rear end rebuilds.

I’ve had the truck for 7 months I’ve gone from a rust bucket to something I’m truly proud of. I’ve put 25000kms on it including a move across Canada from Canmore Alberta to Halifax Nova Scotia.

Thanks to LMC I had everything I needed to get it back into shape
