1978 Ford Bronco – Scott Y.

I always favored the F-series trucks, owning a 1979 Ford F-150 and riding in my Dad’s 1973 Ford F-150 (3 on the tree) growing up. I thought a Ford Bronco would be a good vehicle to restore. I found a 1979 Ford Bronco in 2011 with a typical rusted out PA body. Later, I realized the engine was also bad and decided not to restore it but kept it parked at my house. In 2013 I was able to find a 1978 Ford Bronco in the auto classifieds that came from South Carolina (rust-free). As a birthday present to myself, I bought the Bronco. After taking a second job driving truck for a couple of years to save money, I finally could afford to get it painted. Before it went to the paint shop, I pulled out the interior and painted the inside myself. After it was painted I installed new carpet and other parts. I was able to use a lot of parts from my first Bronco including the black interior, but all the parts that couldn’t be salvaged, I ordered from LMC Truck.

It’s been a long project for me but I finally got it on the road in June 2018. We enjoy taking it on Sunday drives in the country. I also use it during archery season, driving it to hunting camp.
