1965 Chevy Truck – Ezra D.

I purchased my ’65 Chevy LS swap meet 22 years ago. It was an 8-foot fleet side with no motor or trans. I couldn’t wait to get started working on my Chevy. The first thing I did was remove the 8-foot bed and cut the frame to receive a 6-foot fleet side bed, which I also picked up at a swap meet. The truck had minor dents and scrapes but no rust. I also installed a big block four 27 in.Âł engine with a 350 automatic transmission and backed it up with that 373 posi unit 12 bolt rear end. I also shaved the front bumper bolts and made it a smooth bumper. I also replaced the rear bumper with a roll pan. I covered the inside of the bed with carpeting over the old wood, and installed seat belt latches to open and close the rear tailgate. All new rubber seals for the doors and windows. I plan on having my new truck for another 20 years plus and pass it down to my grand kids.[lmc_story_gallery]
