1972 Chevy C10 – Andre K.

If you were driving a C10 like this in 1972 you were in style!! I love Chevy trucks and collected this one from a farm in the Karoo near Cape Town, South Africa. I have a ‘73 K10 which I bought from a scrapyard for R15000…round $950. Needed an engine but I had a ‘75 Constancia project and used the motor. The previous owner did not care about the truck and left it outside for 4 years. You can imagine state of paintwork. I grew up with GM and my did drove Opel and Chevy cars from I can remember…..Kadett, Rekord, Constantia and Fleetside. I have a ‘48 Fleetline thats being rebuilt.

No engine and gearbox. I bought a secondhand 327 v8 (needs new rings though) and a 350 turbo box. The bodywork is not bad but a few rusted areas need urgent attention.
