My first vehicle was a 1986 Chevy short box. That was 24 years ago. Man, I miss that truck. Through the years, I have been through seven of this style truck, but living in Ontario, Canada, every one of them had rust issues.

In 2005, I bought my first new vehicle and my second in 2011. After years of looking for the right truck to bring me back to my youth, I found it! In Erin, Ontario, a guy was selling a 1985 GMC Sierra 1500 from Mississippi. With this rust free gem in my mind, I sold my 2011 Jeep and went for it. I can’t remember the last time driving was this fun. With its 34 year-old original paint and a new GM 350/290 replacing the stock 305 power plant, and some great parts from LMC, this truck is going to live a long life, and look better all the time.[lmc_story_gallery]
