1972 Chevy C10 – Kathleen M.
Betsy
Raising livestock and horses means you need a truck. I’ve always loved the look of the 72 C10’s. In 2007, my dad started hunting for a cheap one I could learn to drive in. He came across Betsy. At that time, she was a fleet side and in rough shape. She ran decently, but you had to touch two wires together to start her. My dad and I spent countless hours restoring her and when it came time for paint, decided after putting as much time, energy and money as we did on her, she needed a nice paint job. We had her professionally painted after I came up with a custom color: Metallic Rose and two toned her with black on top of the cab.
A few years later, my dad came across a step side bed for sale that, to this day, still needs some work but it will come in time. We had it painted to match and my dad added the wood inside. I decided on a cherry stain to go with the pink theme. The last thing we did was paint the interior black and add black carpet. I’m not sure she’ll ever be truly finished but we do plan on rebuilding the motor and getting some color under the hood as well. She’s my baby and something I’ll always have with me as a Dad and daughter project.[lmc_story_gallery]
