A Labor of Love

A buddy of mine owned this truck in the early 80’s. He started a restoration project and then passed of cancer. The truck sat in his garage, an empty shell of a cab, no bed, no interior and no engine. After 15 years of sitting my wife bought it for me as a 50th birthday present. Then I started dreaming, planning and buying parts.

This process lasted several years and we received many deliveries from UPS. Then the work began, with just my wife and I on the rebuild team it took several spring, summers and fall seasons. We did a frame up restoration. Many hours after work and on weekends. We did purchase a 383 custom built engine. But the end result has been worth it and we drive it every chance we get.[lmc_story_gallery]
