1979 GMC 2500 – Ray F.

1979 GMC 3/4 Ton 4×4

Bought this truck used in about 1985 It started life as a service truck for a heavy equipment company. It had about 400,000 klicks on it then. It was on it’s second engine. I put it on Propane and spent much time to get it to run right. About 1990 with half a million klicks on it, it was in desperate need of a sheet metal transplant. I took it apart expecting to have the project finished in a year. Rebuilding aeroplanes got in the way plus a move to a warmer climate. I brought the truck with me and now in 2020 I am out of aeroplane projects and will continue working on the truck. I really loved that truck and am anxious to drive a 4 speed again[lmc_story_gallery]
