1979 GMC C1500 – Ameen F.

Father Son Project

I started my 79 GMC C1500 restoration in 1995 and completed it in 2016. It was and always was a dream to complete and due to work done behind my back I was held back due to rust not expected ( a long story). I did find someone with the mind and artistic talent to go near the colour put on it in 1995 allowing me to finally go wild and complete the interior and everything else in 2015. The truck is black but turns purple in the sun and why no one had the guts to go near it before finding the one man Lawrie who did so proving his artistic work. One coat with the pearls was not enough and two was too much proving how he had to artistically place the second coat. Only the few areas needed were done with no difference at all blending perfectly where flashed into the spray in 1995. He was my dream come true after 20 years waiting for a chance to go all the way and finally get the truck where I wanted it. The drive line was completed with only the slight tranny tune up needed and the interior flipped completely and all exterior components taken to new. The truck is all show now and magazines worthy and with many of the parts purchased here, I’ll let you go with it and a full story, and more photos to chose from where more sun has glare lines go to pink. I’ll want to offer family photos with dad whom I’ve crawled under cars with since 5, to help the right up as well. Thank you for your help with parts needed.[lmc_story_gallery]
