1966 Chevy C10 – Jonathan B.
Journey of the 1966 c10
It all started when I was a little boy. I can remember family members having a few of these trucks over the years. From the first time I’ve seen one, I knew I had to have one of my own. Now let’s fast forward to 2010. I can remember calling my father and saying I found a project ’66, let’s do a father son frame off on this truck. Now when I say frame off, every nut and bolt was disassembled and the entire truck was sandblasted. The old 6 cylinder 3 speed was pulled out and replaced with a 327ci small block backed with a turbo 350 trans and a 12 bolt 5 lug conversion 3.73 rear end. We did full suspension change converting it to 5 lug power disc brake. This entire truck was built in our own garage down to the painting. Now this truck has had its ups and downs during the build, between butting heads on what we wanted to running out of money and letting it sit for a couple years. But with hard work, long days and nights many laughs and tears, it’s finally done. This truck is more than a truck to my father and I. It’s a statement that hard work, dedication, and love for preserving a truly amazing work of art is all worth it in the end. I want to thank LMC Truck for making all this possible, without their great parts and amazing customer service, this truck would still be rusted out sitting in a field. Thank you for making my father and my dreams come true.
