1993 GMC Yukon – Hanz F.

Hi, my name is Hanz and this is my 1993 GMC Yukon SLE. My brother and I purchased this truck together for $1,000 when we were about 11 and 13 from our grandmother. The truck had been sitting a while and it needed some work, mostly body work from the harsh Wisconsin winters. We ended up sticking $500 into it to get the brakes fixed, making it road worthy. Eventually, I ended up buying my brother’s half of the truck from him so I continued to work on it myself by getting some parts from LMC as well as getting my license and starting on the body work. I ended up getting all of the body panels and fenders and what not to start the lengthy project. It took me, with some help from my dad and the neighbor, about 3 years on and off to complete the body work. Recently, just this year, at the age of 20 I finally finished the truck. Painted it flat black and listed it up for sale. I know a lot of you would like me to say that this truck will be in the family for quite a while, but when my grandmother passed away, I ended up buying her 1997 Chevy Suburban LS that she had bought new, from my dad that he had inherited, to start fixing it up, so it can be my forever truck. So yeah, I just sold the Yukon for $5,300, the guy is coming to pick it up this week and he plans on keeping the truck for a long time. I’m glad that it’s going to a good home. I most definitely will miss that truck. As the first vehicle I got behind the wheel and drove, as well as the first vehicle I owned, it was a special truck. That’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed my story.
