Well, it all started when I saw a truck down the block from me in Bellmore, Long Island in a driveway that I’ve been eyeing on since I moved into my first house I bought with my beautiful wife Allie. It was an old Chevy C10 pickup and I knew I wanted one like that. The homeowner said it wasn’t for sale. So, a few years later, I saw an old ’68 C10 that was for sale for 1,200$ and needed a ton of love and work. I offered 1,000$ for it and they took my offer. It was a 350 sbc engine with a cracked block. So, I towed it home to my wife’s surprise because you know she had no idea I was bringing home a project or even a car at all. Two years later, the truck was restored. New engine with a brand new 350 sbc and a 700r4 transmission. With help from my in-laws for the new motor and paint job, I wouldn’t have had this truck running like it does today without their help and support. I’m so lucky and blessed to have married into such a great family I can call my own. So, this is a huge thank you to them to helping a young man as myself to have such a beautiful restored truck. So, thank you for your help Ellen and len, love you guys! So, I was making money doing side jobs by installing residential air conditioners to pay for all the parts I needed to complete this truck. New doors, new beautiful wood bed, wheels, all new interior, seats, carpet, hood, tailgate, the list goes on and on. And also a huge thank you to LMC for providing just about every part I needed for this build. It was an absolute blast and a ton of dedication I will never forget. This truck will definitely stay in the family for generations to come. We had my son last year, Michael. He’s gonna be turning one and I will be giving him this truck on his 17th birthday. And that’s something I look forward to. Anyways, thanks for reading this and hope to see you guys on the road!
