It’s been in the family since Grandpa and Grandma Sarah bought it new in in 1961. This was the family vehicle. Everyone in the family drove it, except Grandpa, he rode passenger. I wanted a truck in my teenage years, I believe my dad gave Grandpa three hundred dollars for it, back in the late 70’s. I took it over and we used it for everything from hauling rock for the leach field to wood for the winter season. It was Cardinal Red when new. It was in an accident and Grandpa had it fixed up and painted it Avocado green. It took me to work on my first job, hauling weeds trash. I did maintenance at an RV Park. I had trouble finding the three-piece front wheel bearing and parked it around 1983. I always wanted to fix it back up. 28 years later, I acquired a donor truck and decided that I was going to restore it. I could do this. The more I fixed it up, it just impressed me more and more. Ten years later, I started it back up and soon, Sarah was getting attention again.
