Mr Bill was a Vietnam Veteran. He lived in the entrance of the neighborhood. I do autobody work on the side and that’s how we met. Over several years, I painted a couple of his personal vehicles. He had always had the ’70 C10 parked under the carport. Hood and fenders off, working on the engine(327), spot priming here and there on the body with the goal of getting it running and of course, eventually painted. Well, Mr Bill never got to see that happen. He passed away a couple of years ago. I asked his wife would she be interested in getting rid of it and she told me that she thought Bill would love for me to have it. I got it home and started working on it. I haven’t finished it yet but got the engine running and finishing up the brake system and will be getting it in my body shop real soon. It means a lot to me that Mrs. Catherine would trust me with his truck and I do not want to disappoint her. Here are a few pictures of it under his carport and what I have gotten accomplished so far.
