I remember watching the 1973 to 1979 Ford trucks as I was growing up. My Grandpa had one those trucks so when I would see other Ford trucks from those years. I Remember saying many times ” Hey that looks just like my Papal’s truck! I have always been a big fan of these trucks, I remember being really upset when Ford changed the body style in 1980. The 1973 through 1979 Ford trucks have always been my favorites and certainly still are!
So all these years later I’m still fascinated by these same trucks! I remember the first time this amazing two tone blue beautiful 1977 Ford F150 4X4 setting in the parking lot where I worked. I did a lot of daydreaming about this awesome truck and thought, wow I wish I had a truck like that one! I asked the guy who owned it if he would please let me know if he ever decided to sell it. I would park as close to this truck as possible and kept a close eye on it for a few years, then I didn’t work there anymore and didn’t see the truck for several years.
One day I stopped by my friend Darrell’s house and I told him I was thinking about going down south or maybe taking a long trip out west to find an old 1973 through 1979 F-150 4X4 that was still in really good condition. Then he told me that I just might not have to do that, then I asked him why not and he told me that he was getting ready to make a trade for an old Ford truck! When I started asking him about the truck he was going to trade for, he started telling me about it. It turned out to be the very same two tone 1977 Ford F-150 4X4 that I had done a lot of daydreaming about for years! So I immediately started making plans to buy this truck from him as quickly as possible!! I’m so thankful to my friend Darrell for helping me acquire this beautiful truck! My truck is in excellent condition but has needed some help to keep it that way. It’s so nice to know that LMC is there to help me keep this awesome truck looking and running great! So when I get the chance to drive this awesome truck to town, it always leads at least a a conversation or two or more! It’s nice to see someone get that big smile on their face and watch their eyes light up when he starts talking about the truck he use to have. One day, I came back out and walked back to my truck there were two older ladies standing there checking out my truck, they said that their Daddy’s looked just like mine. They told me they sold their Daddy’s truck after he had passed away and really regretted selling it and wished that they would have kept the truck. My beautiful truck gets noticed by lots of people everywhere it goes! So if I want to make a quick trip to town I don’t take the truck. I love to hear a younger person say, Hey that looks just like my Papal’s truck! I’m certainly grateful to my friend Darrell for helping me acquire this awesome truck. I also thank LMC for being there to help me keep my truck in top condition and keep it going strong!
