1992 Chevy s10 – Jensen L.
Me and my dad bought this truck with the intent to use it as a parts truck for another s10, but it was too nice to not restore it. The truck was filled with trash when we bought it, and we drove it 3 hours home with the unbearable odor coming from the interior. One of the first things I did was rip the carpet out and seats and order new carpet off of LMC truck. We kept building it from there, using parts off of my moms S10 (the one that we were going to restore) and some out of junkyards and LMC. I got iroc z Camaro wheels off of marketplace and put them on the truck, with a Belltech lowering kit. I was in love with it. I also got a digital gauge cluster from a Oldsmobile Bravada. Later on we worked on the engine and for Christmas I was gifted a full chrome front bumper and lights to put on it, which completely changed the look. We did minor changes like a grill to put on it until my dad told me it was going to a mechanic shop, but really it was going to a body shop to be painted. After a few months, while we were at a car show, I spotted an S10 with a blue paint job and chrome wheels and brand new interior and loved it. I went up to it and my license plate was on it and I knew it was mine. It won 3rd place and when we got home we put a 20k original mile bench seat in it and replaced other parts. Since then, we have put a S10 blazer rear bumper on it with my dads custom made brackets and a new chrome breather and won first place in a car show.
