1987 Ford F150 – Jim K.
I moved to a rural area and decided I needed a truck. I couldn’t afford much but I needed something to haul stuff. I just happened to be at an estate sale and found an F-150 that had been sitting for quite awhile. It had only about 95,000 miles on it and the interior was nearly pristine. The windshield was broken and the stock wheels were rusted, and while there was some rust on the body, it was pretty straight. It needed two fuel pumps, but the drive train was great. Since I got if for $2,000 I figured I could spend some to pretty it up some. After buying new wheels and tires and a new paint job I determined that I had succeeded in prettying it up! Lots of admirers agree. It runs great and I pull my travel trailer with it. I don’t put much junk in it anymore as I don’t I want get it dirty! I love the truck!
