1970 Ford F100 – Colby C.
My dad and I made the decision to tackle the restoration on my grandpa’s old farm truck. He bought it brand new in 1970. It served as his family vehicle, somehow hauling around his family of 7 and also his everyday farm truck before being parked in the field for the past 25 years. It was in pretty rough shape when we picked it up so we stripped it right down to the frame and restored everything, changing a few things while still trying to maintain some of the original aspects of the truck. We did all of the work ourselves and learned many new things along the way. After many late nights and long hours we finished the project in 9 months. My dad had talked about restoring an old truck for quite some time and this was the perfect opportunity. I am glad I was able to take this on with him and end up with a finished project that     we are both immensely proud of. Showing my Grandpa and seeing him cruise the streets of his small town with a smile from ear to ear made the many hours all worth it!
