1954 Ford F100- Norman M.

Bought my truck at a farm auction in 1978 on my mom’s birthday. The truck wouldn’t start when I was looking at it. I worked on the carburetor and got it started. Ran good and it didn’t smoke. I put the carburetor back where it wouldn’t start. When they were auctioning it they tried starting it but it wouldn’t start. I bought the truck for $300. After I paid for the truck, I reset the carburetor and drove it home. The body was in good condition with the usual body issues but I was able to fix them and paint the truck myself. The engine is the original 239 Y block with a three speed transmission and overdrive. It’s been a work in progress and I have just finished adding front power disc brakes. Every time I finish adding something new to it I think that will be the last thing I need to do but then I will do some other improvement. I enjoy working on the truck and taking it to car shows.
