1960 Chevy Apache – David W.

Abandoned at Aamco because it needed a clutch so my son-in-law got a salvage title for it and brought to me for a birthday present. Turned into the most expensive present I’ll ever have. I wasn’t ready to start on it and it sat out in a pasture for several years. Packrats had made a real mess of it. Required lots of new metal, floor pans, fenders, rocker panels, cab corners and one door skin. Replaced the front end with one from a 69 to get rid of the torsion bar suspension. Installed disc brakes all around and dropped the front 2 1/2” and 3” on the back. Also installed rack and pinion steering. Bought a Blueprint fuel injected 350 with all pumps and a/c, 700 R 4 transmission and used the stock rear end. Dakota digital gauge cluster, tilt steering, cruise, and new seat round out the cab. It’s a blast
