1972 Ford F250 – Paul E.

Bought the truck in 1976 from one of my supervisors for $4,000.00. Enticed him with cash at shift change after 3
weeks of pestering him. Full cab over camper. Added a winch to help with tree work. She lived in California until 2002 and then it was off to the northland. It can be 10 below when I pump the accelerator twice and turn the key. The old truck starts right up. What a treat to have the truck here. Still hauling firewood and pulling a ’22 boat around. What a conversation starter. I was offered $14,000.00 for her a few months ago but there is no way I can part with the old truck just yet. At 98,000 miles we did a rebuild of the engine…no changes were made. Now there is 198,000 miles on the odometer. We are so proud of the old truck. We just purchased 22 parts to upgrade damaged trim, weatherstripping, lights, reflectors, mirrors and other things. A little TLC for old blue will be our winter project.
