1985 GMC S10 – Scott P.

CSI had a S10 when I was a teenager and broke with big dreams and aspirations of a supercharged v8 of any flavor. That truck got me through for a long time before it just wasn’t practical to continue throwing money at with no where to store it while I started a new career to focus on a better life, so it was sold. Years later, I bought this truck in 2019 with a 2.5 4 cylinder and a 4 speed manual, almost identical to what was in my old truck. I drove it as it was for a few months before getting the itch to build it.
Over the next 7 years of ownership I started collecting parts. Between social media and waiting for sales to place larger orders to get some momentum on this project. What started with a plan to do a simple LS swap, later turned into a full restoration. It currently sits with a supercharged 6.0 backed by a T56 and a Ford 8.8 differential, powered by a Holley Terminator X Max.
For the restoration parts, LMC was the obvious choice. Everything in the interior except the wheel and seats were sourced from LMC.

Truth be told, I didn’t start this build with grand plans of chasing trophies or building a dedicated race truck. I just wanted a clean, fun to drive truck that did everything right. But seeing how far it’s come, seeing it on the cover of a catalog or on a magnet would be pretty cool.
