2002 Chevy 1500 – Mickey C.

My Trucks My first pickup was a 1967 Chevy custom fleet side with the small rear window and wood bed. I paid $325.00 for it, put a new set of plug wires on it and drove it home. It served me well for two years when I sold it for $1000.00. As they say, I wish I held onto it. My second p'up is a 2002 Chevy Silverado 4.8 V8, regular cab, sport side in red, bought new that I still have. Plan on keeping it. I need LMC for rockers, as she has a tad bit of rust ... read more >>

2002 Ford F150 – Barry S.

I bought this truck new in 2002. I drooled over this truck every time one would pass by. My girlfriend at the time said, "just buy it!". So I did! The build and ride quality of this truck is amazing. A pleasure to drive. I have made some modifications including a tune, bigger throttle body, cold air intake, and a performance / lowered suspension. Yes, it is a garage queen, I only take her out in good weather and when I am not driving my '02 F150 XLT 4x4.

2002 Chevy 1500 – Danny N.

Retirement Reward As I neared the time I could retire my desire was to get a full sized truck. I had driven S-10's & S-15's for several years because of their gas mileage. I contacted a friend of mine who was a salesman at Tom Jumper Chevrolet in Atlanta and gave him some specifics of what I wanted, reg cab, short bed, no step side and no 4 wheel drive. Also, it must be UGA BULL-DAWG red. Later he had two on the lot matching what I was looking for. I drove it home just a few months before ... read more >>

2002 Ford F350 – Andrew L.

High School Ride After a family friend bought a new truck, he offered up his old 2002 F-350 to me, a freshman in high school at the time. It needed quite a bit of work but anyone that knows anything about an old 7.3 can tell you that it’s well worth it. I spent my days after school for two years tearing the truck down to its frame, then assembling it to restore it to its former glory. By using LMC, making an 18 year old truck look new was simple. It is a mix of about 4 different ... read more >>

2002 Ford F250 – Bradley A.

Do I Replace or Restore? Last year it was time to either replace or sink some significant money in my beloved 2002 F250 Lariat crew cab diesel. The bed, rocker panels, and fenders were badly rusted. The 7.3 was still running smooth, but being almost 20 years old it was leaking some fluids and needed some love too. Faced with a $70,000 price tag to replace the truck with a new one, I decided to restore instead. $27,000 later I’m happy with the results. This was and still is the only new “off the lot” vehicle I’ve ever purchased. ... read more >>

2002 GMC Sierra C1500 – Gaines E.

Best Truck Ever I have owned three trucks, and my 2002 GMC Sierra has been my favorite. I bought it new in May 2002, and pretty much haven't had any major repairs. I did have to replace the windshield washer pump (myself) and a remanufactured power steering pump (dealer), but that's it. Except for regular maintenance items, and synthetic oil. I installed a Class III hitch, and trans cooler, and have hauled my old car on a trailer from Dallas to Michigan, and all points in between. My wife asked me recently if I wanted a new truck, and ... read more >>

2002 Chevy 1500 – Greg R.

It Could Be Worse! His name is Shadow (for the color, obviously). He is a 2002 Chevy Silverado Z-71 Ext Cab. About 150K miles on the clock. Bought used with about 120K in 2013. Yeah, he has an easy life, as I have a company van I unfortunately spend most of my time in. That’s why I have put so few miles on it in so long of a time. But it is also the reason it hasn’t needed much work done beyond a few oil changes! It has had the left front unit bearing changed and a new ... read more >>

2002 Ford F150 – Tony P.

Dad’s Truck This is my dad's truck that I recently acquired from my mom. Dads long battle with cancer took his life over a year ago. I would go down and take him to his chemo treatments, since he could not drive he always wanted me to take and drive him there in his truck. Just driving it now makes me feel he is still next to me. After a year of holding on to the truck mom decided to sell it. I never really liked it till now, thought it through and told mom that I wanted it. ... read more >>

2002 Ram 2500 V10 – Todd R.

Three years ago, I bought my Ram 2500 V10 for 450 bucks. It already has 287,000 miles on it from a lady that has cancer. She had redone the transmission right before I bought it and her kids had sprayed the V10 pink and grey, which the factory color is grey. So far have replaced the windshield, water pump, fuel pump, kick down cable, alt, all fuses, most all u joints, brakes all the way around, one headlight assembly so far, heat selector and a few more parts. It's going to be a long journey to get it back ... read more >>

2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 – Shawn H.

I found the exact truck I wanted, wrecked at a salvage yard, a 2002 regular cab short bed z71 4x4 with a 4.8 and 5-speed manual. This was my first truck I got back in 2009. I replaced the smashed bedside, wheel and bent axle shaft to get the truck back on the road. I drove the truck through PA winters and more recently completed a frame off restoration with my wife, that I am lucky to call mine, who is a automotive refinisher at a bodyshop. She does the body side if things I do the mechanic side. ... read more >>

Sticker Shock Sticker shock is what I received when I found out my truck was no longer roadworthy and I needed to get a new one...With the help of LMC I was able to turn my 02 into that brand new truck again for a fraction of the price... Mostly because I did all of the labor myself.

2002 Chevy 2500HD – Autumn O.

I have always been a truck girl and always dreamed of buying my first truck. After searching and saving for months, I finally found a place that would let me finance without a cosigner as my parents refused to help in any way. I now drive the biggest truck in my family and definitely the best sounding. I never thought my first truck would be a diesel but I love it. I named her Allison after her transmission. Between my note, insurance, and diesel it takes an entire paycheck per month but I wouldn't trade her for anything. ... read more >>

2002 Dodge Ram 2500 – Blake D.

The "Hummin Cummins" Resurrection My best friend had purchased this truck in January of 2009 with big plans to turn it into a real head-turner. Little did we all know, he would pass away in an accident just 4 months later. The truck sat in his parents front yard for the next 8 years and for Christmas 2017, I was presented with the truck and work began immediately to bring the truck back to life. Many parts from LMC helped to bring not only the outside back to new condition, but the interior as well. Over a year later, ... read more >>
