1984 Chevy C10 – Daniel G.

My 17 year old stepson Marcus saved his money working and still in High school and bought himself a classic fixer upper…I’m Daniel, the stepdad who is helping him out with this, What Marcus and I call a “Father/son project, since Marcus real father is mostly absent from his life though I’m sure he does love him.

Ok, so its a 1984 C-10 , 350 V8, the motor was swapped at some point before we got it.. The body is in good shape for its age with on one small spot of rust just aft of the drivers door… We chased a turn signal issue for several days and finally seem to have that solved, we hope… It has a oil leak that needs to be addressed and will be soon. Up first is to replace a wheel bearing and put on some new back breaks. He is very new to all of this and I’m enjoying guiding him as we do a little each day.. Marcus is a fine young man who at 17 yrs old has never been a behavioral problem, and has never been in any trouble whatsoever. I am very proud of him and am also proud that he picked a nice old classic to be his fixer-upper, and also give me a chance to relive a little childhood through him…We will update regularly and add pics as we progress….I hope someone out there will enjoy the read.
