1985 Chevy 1500 – Jim L.

I bought this Chevy 4 WD, 305 HP pickup truck from a retired Army Col in 1999 for $4000. It had been in his garage for a few years but would not start. It had 40,000 mile at the time. I had a new carb installed and it worked fine for many years. It now has 75,000 mile. I used the truck for mulch and small jobs around the house. Often it would sit for 2-3 months but it would always start and run well. After my wife wife passed away in 2015 I decided I would move from Fairfax, Va to Sarasota Fl for retirement. I loaded the blue monster with some of my furniture and tools and golf clubs and came to Fl. My plan was to make this my final trip and sell it for $500 when I got to Fl. However, my grandson in college said it was worth more then $500 and he would like to have it. so I plan to invest $5000 in body work and paint and give it to Jeremy in a few years when he graduates from Cornell.
