1970 Chevrolet C10 – Dan L.

Ron’s nephew, Gary who is living in Washington decided to sell this straight rust free 1970 C10/CST truck. Ron living in Minnesota was looking but wondered how to get it back home. Don another one of Ron’s nephews was going to Washington to bring back a sawmill so Ron bought the truck. Don picked up the sawmill but didn’t make it far and the engine seized. He proceeded to get another truck and made his way home. Now Ron had his truck still sitting in Washington. Gary picked up a new crate motor and made the swap. Ron made the trip out to Washington and brought the truck home. He intended it as a work truck hauling the four-wheeler to the lake but being an avid car collector decided to sand the truck and have it repainted. My dad Ron passed away in 2016, I am honored to now be the trucks caretaker. The only changes I have made are some interior repairs, custom wheels and recently switched the painted work bumper with a new LMC sport chrome bumper. One of Ron’s grandsons, now owns the body shop where the truck was painted. Another grandson also works at that shop mostly doing paint. Last year summer 2025, they were making a movie about 40 miles away and looking for some period correct cars from the 70’s. I drove to filming locations four times in the movie the truck is owned by the main character and is in a few movie scenes. The movie should be on streaming platforms in 2027 “Small town girl”.
