1990 GMC C15 – Stan Q.

When I was young, I always wanted a short box fleet side pick-up truck. November of 1989, I got $500 together to order a GMC 1500 in solid Crimson Red with red interior. I choose the 350 engine because I felt it would last longer than the 454. So would I, driving it. It was built at the New Mexico assembly plant. My truck showed up to Idaho in March of 1990. I made my own Tonneau cover out of 3/4″ plywood so I could sleep on it camping. Although it looks like a pretty little street truck, I have had it on the side of mountains harvesting wood, it tows my boat and it is a work truck. My truck has about 153,000 miles on original engine original paint and never wrecked. 35 years ago someone told me I was going to wax the paint off. They were wrong. Things age out, I have used LMC to order parts like lights, grills, control arms, bezels and etc. So fun to drive and LMC helps me keep it on the road.
