1985 GMC Sierra – Jason H.
It's a family truck which I received from my aunt. So, it meant a lot to me to get it back on the road.

Ayden’s great grandfather, Jim, bought this truck back in the late 80’s. It was his prized possession! When Jim passed away in 2015, the truck had only 81,000 original miles. The truck sat in storage for around 8 years and was in need of some TLC. When Ayden’s grandmother and I approached him about the truck for his 16th birthday, he was so excited. His reply was “It’s a classic!” What a way to spend memorable time together restoring the truck. Thank you to LMC for all of the parts offered and help. Great grandfather Jim would be so ... read more >>
Our family business is approaching 60 years this spring! My grandfather and dad always had a Squarebody or two in the fleet of our family business. So, in 2017 I wanted to restore one similar to what they used to have. I bought a 1985 c2500 that needed a lot of work, but it’s been a dream since I was kid. It’s started a whole new addiction I didn’t think could happen! I became obsessed with them. My son who was 13 at time, decided he wanted to build one for his first car! Long story short, we spent ... read more >>
I'm active duty army currently. I bought this truck not running in the middle of a New Mexico desert while stationed at FT Bliss TX and brought it back east with me to Fort Campbell KY to rebuild. Slowly but surely, one piece at a time. Between several missions and a deployment. I rebuilt the truck. Body work/paint and drivetrain in this truck all myself, all in my home single car garage. It needed a full rebuild, the whole drivetrain, interior and most wiring was in shambles to say the least . Now she runs smooth and is great ... read more >>
My son, Robert jr. and I found this truck in an auto trader magazine in 2015. He was going to start high school and needed a truck to get himself around. He paid under $1,000.00 for it not running but it is in a dry climate and had little rust. He had a new 350 installed in 2016. He drove it for a couple years but purchased a smaller vehicle for transportation. We had been stockpiling replacement parts from LMC since 2019. In 2023 we decided it was time to take the next steps. We treated the bed and ... read more >>

It has been almost a year and half project for this ‘85 square body. My granddaughter was getting her license and kept asking me to redo her late father’s truck. So we couldn’t get our hands on his old square body truck but ended up finding this truck out of Tennessee. Her and I towed it home, put it in the shop, and started putting it together. It’s a 350 that we put together with along with a 700r new 10 bolt with a locker 6 inch lift on 33/12.50/15 M/T wheels. All new interior and exterior body work ... read more >>
Bought new in 1985 for carrying a truck camper . After 5 years or so, ended up storing it and selling the camper . Years past by and when I retired in 2019, it became my go to project . Found everything needed through LMC, along with fresh paint and tires and it’s now my summer driver . Thank you LMC.
My Dad bought it new and I still have it. My son drove it in High School. I restored it with a lot of parts from LMC 👍
Looking at purchasing a new truck lead me down this road of restoring our 1985 F250 at 1/4 of the price of a new one. Motor, transmission, and differentials were completely rebuilt along with new interior and body panels supplied by LMC. Topped off with a machinery Grey paint job. The truck is so much fun to drive around and gets looks everywhere. Thanks for great parts.
I’ve always wanted an old school truck that my son and I can enjoy. One day it will be his and he can pass it to his son. Just memories in the making, starting this adventure is going to be amazing.
I bought my truck last year in September, by a German US car dealer. I love it, my girlfriend loves it, my daughter loves it... Thank you for offering all the parts I need to make "Daily-Blue" perfect and your very good service for your customers... Best regards, Andi.
My truck started in Arizona, then went to Montana, then ended up in Texas and hasn’t ran in 10 years. So, I get to fix it up with my dad as my first truck.
My papaw bought a black and tan '85 Silverado back in 2010 and I was a very young guy back then. He told me that whenever I turned 16 it would be mine. I was obviously tickled to death, but it seemed like forever. 16 finally came and the truck was more work than I thought it would be. We had to get her running again and just drive it. My daily high school driver, and I wouldn’t be the man I am today without it.
I bought a new '85 Chevy pickup fleetside. I sold it in '87. I missed it for years. In 1994, I found my '85 stepside. I have owned it since. I have been buying parts for my birthday and Christmas from you guys ever since. A slow restoration. You guys have great parts. Thanks!
